snow day special

We've had a few days of winter weather so far in February. Last Wednesday when the office was closed and I worked from home, I managed to bake a tray of cinnamon rolls to share with my office mates. Although they weren't my best cinnamon rolls ever, the coworkers were still willing to enjoy the day-old leftovers Thursday morning.

Cousins

Watching Kaelyn and Nessa with Abel and Cyrus reminds me of Betsy and me with our little cousins Matthew and Nathan years ago.

Canopy Walk

While I was home in Michigan for Christmas break, Naomi and I had fun taking a quick walk through Midland's new Canopy Walk (which will eventually connect the library, Whiting Forest, and Dow Gardens via a super cool elevated pathway through the trees!)

Two Scoops {Too Many Scoops}

19 extra raisins

Sometimes Raisin Bran gets carried away with their two scoops,

and I have to rid my bowl of a few too many raisins to right the ratio.

Little Ham and Big Cheese

Much to the uncles' chagrin, the fam somehow wound up in Frankenmuth for lunch and a (brief) jaunt around town the week of Christmas. Austin had so much fun he didn't realize "boys don't like Frankenmuth."
