Bhubesi Pride

tea and cake after the meal
We hosted a team of rugby players this week at the guesthouse. The Bhubesi 2013 team is comprised of eight guys from France, Mexico, the UK, South Africa, and the USA. Their tour through Africa began in Ethiopia in January and will conclude in June in South Africa. As they travel through Africa, they stop at various schools to spend a week teaching children to play rugby (and adults to coach).
To learn more about Bhubesi Pride, check out their website.

had to get at least one picture of this perfect looking, triple layer cake filled with
lemon curd and lined with strawberry preserves
Heather and I invited the team for dinner Tuesday night. There’s something utterly rewarding about feeding (and stuffing!) a group of hungry fellows. The Bhubesi team didn't disappoint us with their appetites. By the time the evening was finished, all that remained was one basket of naan, a small bowl of chicken curry, a small dish of rice, and half a cake. We even had the privilege of lighting a couple candles and singing happy birthday to Ben!

dishes, dishes, dishes...
